From a sketch, a sample or a drawing to a qualified part number - moulded, tested, packed under your label and shipped from our own factory in Yueqing.
Off-the-shelf parts solve most bundling jobs cheaply. Custom programmes start where they stop fitting.
A stud that is 0.8 mm off size, a panel thickness no clip is made for, a bundle diameter that sits between two catalogue sizes, a harness that needs the mount on the opposite face - each one is small, and each one costs assembly time on every unit you build.
Huihua has been moulding cable management parts since 1997 and runs its own mould workshop, so a custom part is not something we resell from a tool shop queue. We review the drawing, tell you what moulds cleanly and what does not, cut or modify the tool, sample it, and run production under the same quality system as our standard range.
25+ years of injection moulding, 30+ patents, two production bases and a CNAS-accredited testing laboratory - the capability behind the quotation.
The same sequence on every custom project, so you always know what happens next and what we need from you.
Send the drawing, a physical sample, or even a description of the problem. We need the working dimensions, the temperature and chemical environment, the colour or material you are running today, and the annual volume you are planning for.
Our technical department reviews the part against moulding reality - draft angles, wall thickness, snap features, gate position - and tells you what can be produced as drawn and what needs a small change. This is the step that saves a tooling revision later.
The quotation states explicitly whether an existing mould can be adapted or a new tool is required, and prices the two separately. Unit price, sample charge and packaging cost are itemised so you can compare us against your current supplier on the same basis.
Samples are moulded and inspected against your drawing, and shipped with a first-article inspection report so your engineering team can qualify the part on the bench rather than on the line.
Trial quantities are run on production tooling, not lab equipment. Control plan, inspection reports and packing specification are issued at this stage, which is what turns a sample into an approved part number.
Volume runs are produced under batch control, so a delivered carton can be traced back to its material batch and production date. Packaging carries your label, your part number and your barcode from the very first shipment.
What can be tailored on a moulded part, and what it costs you in tooling and sampling.
How our OEM packaging model works - and why it protects your certification scope.
When customers ask for OEM packaging, they usually mean one thing: the part arrives carrying their brand, not ours. We deliver that at packaging level - printed bags, header cards and bag labels carrying your logo, brand name, part number and barcode, in the pack count your stores department expects.
The tie itself remains a standard, unmodified part. That is deliberate, and it works in your favour on three counts. Your certification scope is untouched, because the UL listing covers the standard part rather than a marked variant. Your packaging design can change without touching the tool. And stock is not trapped against one customer's artwork, which keeps replenishment faster and cheaper than a bespoke marked part ever can be.
If your programme genuinely requires a mark on the part itself, tell us at the quotation stage - we will assess feasibility against the tool and quote it as a separate item rather than assuming it can be done.
Three things decide whether a custom programme survives contact with production.
An independent technical department with its own mould processing equipment. Custom projects do not wait in a queue behind a third-party tool shop, and a running change is handled by the same team that built the tool.
A dedicated R&D department develops the part from your drawing or from a sample you post us. Prototype iterations are handled in-house, which shortens the loop between 'this almost fits' and a qualified part.
Two production bases, 25,000 m² of buildings on a 20-mu (13,300 m²) site in Yueqing Economic Development Zone, 3,600+ tons of annual capacity and 30+ patents. A custom part is only useful if the volume is still available twelve months later.
Custom parts are audited harder than catalogue parts. These are the records we can issue.
The five questions that come up on almost every first enquiry.
It depends on whether an existing mould can be adapted or a new tool is required, and on the material and colour. Send the drawing and your target annual volume and we will quote tooling and unit price separately, so you can see exactly which part of the cost is one-off.
The schedule depends on part complexity and on whether tooling already exists. We confirm the sampling date with the quotation rather than quoting a generic lead time, because a promise that ignores tooling status is not worth much.
Yes, for the materials we mould. Colour is matched per batch, so send the reference - a physical sample or a Pantone number - before sampling. If you need lot-to-lot colour consistency, say so and we will build that into the inspection plan.
We will produce it in the material named on your drawing. Where the drawing names a grade we do not run, we propose an equivalent and state the difference in writing, so your engineering team decides rather than discovering a substitution at inspection.
Tooling ownership and maintenance terms are agreed in the contract. We do not assume the answer in either direction - if the mould is your asset, that is written into the agreement.
Sometimes the fastest custom part is the catalogue part you had not looked at yet.
